Recipes assume equipment.

A Neapolitan recipe written for a 480°C oven cannot be followed literally in a 250°C home oven. Lievanto keeps the original instruction visible and adds a practical suggestion for your setup.

What changes.

Equipment-aware suggestions can affect kneading method, oven temperature, bake duration, preheat guidance, and proofing notes.

  • Home oven, baking stone, baking steel, and dedicated pizza oven behave differently.
  • Hand mixing and stand mixing need different cues.
  • Proofing temperature changes fermentation speed.

Why suggestions stay separate.

The app never silently rewrites the recipe. It labels the adapted guidance as a suggestion so you can see the original formula and the kitchen-specific adjustment side by side.

FAQ

Common questions.

Does equipment-aware guidance change my saved recipe?

No. The original recipe stays intact. Suggestions are shown alongside the original instruction during cook mode.

Why not just use the recipe temperature?

Because many recipe temperatures assume a specific oven. A pizza oven, steel, stone, and bare home oven transfer heat differently.
